Aarcomm Systems is seeking an Administrative and Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized, enthusiastic, and has a do-what-it-takes attitude. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that all necessary raw materials are received on time so that our production is un-interrupted. You will be establishing and nurturing strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal partners.


  • Perform Purchasing functions which include order entry into various business systems, order management, expediting, and following-up.
  • Follow up with vendors and suppliers on existing orders to guarantee on time delivery
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing
  • Ensure consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
    Search for alternate sources and suppliers
  • A variety of clerical duties including answering phones, opening a distributing mail, ordering supplies, entering customer repair orders, entering customer sales orders, and filing.


  • 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Post-secondary technical diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Customer-centric mindset, do-what-it-takes approach
  • Strong organizational skills and the desire and ability to learn new things
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment that is focused on priorities and end results
