WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLER

Aarcomm Systems is seeking an experienced Cable Harness Assembler to join our Production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly of wire and cable harnesses, and mechanical subassemblies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assembly of cable harnesses, connectors, and wire terminations
  • Operate semi-automatic cutting, stripping and crimping machines
  • Manually Strip, tin and solder small gauge wires and pins.
  • Mechanical assembly of our electronic products and prototypes

Required knowledge, skills and abilities: 

  • Post-secondary technical diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years hands on experience in mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent hands-on ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient with the use of hand and power tools in a proper and safe manner
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with soldering
  • Familiarity with electronics is an asset
  • Good written and verbal communications
  • Strong organizational skills and the desire and ability to learn new things
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment that is focused on priorities and end results

SENIOR ELECTRO MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Aarcomm Systems is seeking an experienced Senior  Electronic Assembler to join our Production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly of electronics, cables, and mechanical subassemblies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Mechanical assembly of our electronic products and prototypes
  • Assembly of cable harnesses, connectors, and wire terminations
  • Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of cables
  • Building and repairing mechanical test stations
  • Contributing your expertise to help solve design and assembly problems, and to help develop and improve assembly techniques and documentation

  • 5+ years hands on experience in mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment

ELECTRONIC CONTROLS DESIGN ENGINEER

Description:

Aarcomm Systems is seeking an Electronic Controls Design Engineer to join our Product Development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for embedded software development on various microcontroller platforms including MSP430 and ARM.
You will be a key contributor to our applications development, frequently working with customers to help define and implement custom projects to meet their specific needs. This position will be responsible for all phases of software development targeting embedded systems, including design, coding, integration, and documentation of major portions of software projects.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design and develop applications in C for ARM, MSP430, and FreeRTOS
  • Work with customers to define, develop, and troubleshoot custom applications
  • Design and debug hardware using lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc…)
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation
  • Contribute to product definition and system architecture

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical or Systems Engineering, or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development using languages such as C
  • Knowledge of common hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, USB, UART, etc…)
  • Mixed-signal electronics design skills
  • Familarity with discrete and monolithic components and circuit design
  • Experience with CAD tools and PCB technology
  • Knowledge of standard embedded debugging tools (oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, etc…)
  • Hands-on (bench) proficiency with electronic tools
  • Interest and familiarity with mobile/vehicular systems and technology would be an asset
  • Interest and experience in 3D printing and “maker” technology would be an asset
  • Experience with radio remote controls would be an asset
  • Mechanical-mindedness would be an asset Ability and keenness for creating in-house prototypes
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the desire and ability to learn new things
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong mastery of physics
  • Research and investigation following the scientific method
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Inquisitiveness, an analytical mind and critical thinking skills
  • Strong deductive reasoning with appropriate mix of inferential creativeness
  • Open-mindedness and a pleasant demeanor
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, with engineers and production personnel that is focused on priorities and end results
